Running
Running sessions are often held at the Esplanade car park (what3words: group.reviewed.durations) in Broughty Ferry on a Monday at 7pm. Other venues (e.g. Dawson park) are used too, so check where the meeting point is the week you attend.
Sessions are mixed week to week and can be adapted to suit those attending, an example would be:
- Week 1 – Short Reps
- Week 2 – Long Reps
- Week 3 – Interval Running
- Week 4 – Hill Reps
All are welcome no matter whether you think you’re too fast or too slow. There will be at least 1 coach in attendance each week.
Free to those who attend
Cycling
M3 Spin Sessions (early-ish on a Saturday morning) are likely to return in the Autumn and run until Christmas, for the 2026-27 season.
In the Summer and Autumn there is ad hoc cycling in the Angus countryside and at the weekends. This is subject to change and is not a coached session.
Swimming
At Olympia Leisure Centre, in Dundee, the sessions run most Wednesday evenings from 8:20 pm to 9:30pm.
Lanes are graded for speed and a swim session plan will be provided on the night. You will need to be able to swim at least 50m to attend, and there is usually at least one coach present to give advice on technique and provide tips for improvement. There is a charge (plus Spond transaction fee) for each swim session.
You need an activated ‘NEC’ (Olympia’s preferred card) or ‘Active Dundee’ card to enter the unmanned reception, or ‘phone the Olympia Duty Manager to let you in.
